The Auto Legend Creation Plugin
Geopartner’s new addition to Bentley makes it easy to attach a legend.
Geopartners new Auto Legend Creation plugin is a tool that enables the automatic generation of legends based on the existing content and available information in your digital drawings. This ensures a more streamlined and efficient workflow, eliminating the need for manual creation of legends, which can be both time-consuming and complex.
The program is delivered as an add-on to Bentley’s software solutions, including Microstation, meaning it integrates with already established CAD setups. This allows users to further optimise their Bentley CAD setup and significantly increase productivity.
When a new legend is needed, the program automatically scans the DGN file and retrieves relevant information, including layer names, symbols, and other critical data.
Based on this scan, an automatic suggestion for the legend is generated, which can be customised in a user-friendly preview window. Here, titles and texts can be edited, layers and symbols can be added or removed, and other necessary adjustments can be made so that the final legend fits the specific project perfectly.
This automation process not only provides significant time savings but also improves the quality of the generated legends, thereby enhancing the overall effectiveness of CAD solutions.
